As part of intensified efforts to combat all forms of crime, the judicial police in Sidi Slimane successfully dismantled a criminal network specialized in drug trafficking. The operation, conducted under the direct supervision of local security authorities, resulted in the arrest of 5 individuals, including one woman, involved in illicit activities.

Operations and smuggling routes

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were obtaining large quantities of hard drugs (cocaine), hashish, and tobacco (Taba) from the north of the Kingdom. To evade security forces, the network used a house located outside the city limits as a primary warehouse for distribution to various Moroccan cities.

The raid on the premises led to the seizure of: – Significant quantities of cocaine and hashish.– A quantity of Taba tobacco.– Cash suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.– An air rifle.– A vehicle with falsified license plates used to facilitate transport without raising suspicion.

Following the arrests, the five suspects were placed in police custody under the instructions of the competent public prosecutor.
